wait is so obnoxious y’ all . It just feels like run off time .
wait in lines , at the Dr. ’s office , in the car to beak someone up … We spend a lot of time waiting .
Most of the clip I just scroll through societal media on my phone , which make sense . Usually when I ’m waiting , I do n’t have much material with me and I do n’t want to do anything time eat because I might not have to wait long .
There are some slightly more productive ways to utilize wait time though .
These definitely do n’t all run in all waiting place . It depend on where you are and how long you might be waiting but I think you ’ll find some that will influence so that you’re able to get things done while you look .
I was stick by on custody for for.ev.er . last week and I used a few of these ideas !
1. Review your to do list
Take a few minute to look over your to do list . Check off what you ’ve already accomplished and design what you ’re going to sour on next . I always get more done when I have a plan for what to do next .
2. Do a portable craft
If you do something crafty or never sense like you have the time to do something crafty , make it into a time lag time activity . Last December when Austin was in the infirmary , my mom bring her knitting . Other options : cross sewing , coloring , crocheting …
3. Listen to a helpful podcast
I have been getting into some neat podcasts ! They ’re easy to get and terminate if you ’re potential to get interrupted or wo n’t have a long wait . Plus , you may listen on your sound which I bet you ’ll have with you . I ’m liking Gretchen Rubin ’s podcast calledHappier with Gretchen Rubinif you need one to test .
4. Clean out the trash in your purse or car
Since I ’m lick onkeeping our motorcar cleaner , I take advantage of sitting in the gondola for a short postponement by collect any rubbish around me . Then I can easy throw out it when we get home . Or if Austin is pumping gasolene , I ’ll catch all the trash I can and throw it away at the gas station . Do n’t forget to check your purse for trash too !
5. Update your budget
In a few moment you’re able to easy brush up your budget or register some receipt . I ’ve been using an app on my phone to register our spending lately , so I ’ll grab any reception from my billfold and enter them in the app while I waitress .
6. Create grocery list
Can you retrieve of any grocery item you necessitate ? Start your next grocery list while you wait . I ’ve been using a list app called Listonic lately .
7. Check sale ads on your phone
Most stores have their sales event ads in an app these days , so you could easily look through the sale on your headphone .
8. Send a sweet text to your spouse
This is so comfortable and often neglect . Send your spouse a gracious message or even a funny mental picture since you have a minute to spare .
9. Delete bad photos
If you ’ve receive your phone with you , go through the pictures on your earphone and delete the bad one . Everyone I know has plenty of photos hive away on their phones and most of them are n’t steward . Your photo storage might even be full . Just keep the commodity 1 and resign up some space .
10. Read a fun book
Most people wish well they had more sentence to read . Take reward of delay time and apply it to read a Holy Writ that ’s been on your reading leaning forever . It will make you enjoy wait times much more if you apply them for something limited !
11. Listen to an audiobook
I am an audiobook addict . Audiobooks are perfect for wait times because they entertain you and can quickly be pause . If you ’re waiting at a Dr. ’s office or somewhere out in public , keep some headphones with you . hearable has a ton of audiobooks to take from and there ’s a free trial run . I ’ve recently listened toEat That FrogandThe Happiness Project — both super sound !
12. Declutter the Area Around You
I did this the other day ! I was stuck “ on hold ” on a tech support confab so I could n’t pull up stakes my computer . I was in the kitchen , so I go through all of our kitchen cupboards and did a little decluttering while still in scene of my laptop . If you ’re out somewhere , do a mini decluttering of your bag while you look .
13. Make a Phone Call
If have a telephone call is on your to do list , this can well be accomplished while you await in your car to find fault your small fry up .
I ’ve been making better use of my wait time lately . I add a few item to my grocery list , check that I ’ve recorded my latest receipts in my budget tracker or empty the wish-wash that needs builds up in our elevator car .
I always see time for scrolling mindlessly through societal medium ( still work on doing that less ) and it ’s nice to get a few small things done during waiting time period . I discover waiting a piffling less vexatious when I can get something accomplish while I wait .
