Does anyone else think that “ repast planning ” has turned into this huge task that everyone tell you that you should do , and it sound like it will take perpetually and be so hard ? Eeesh .
Well , yes … you should project your meals . But no … It ’s not hard . It can be immediate and bare .
For me , repast planning is just one stair you add to make a market tilt .
Why make a meal plan ? Well , to shorten thriftlessness and save money . Also , to make figuring out “ what ’s for dinner party ” easy . If you ’re plump grocery shopping , you should have a tilt of what you require to buy so you do n’t forget anything .
repast planning is just a step that goes with making your foodstuff list that enjoin , “ I ’m going to grease one’s palms all of this solid food which can be turned into all of these repast . ”

1. Create a list of meals you eat often
I keep a document on my desktop with all of the meals we commonly use up . Of course I sometimes make crazy Pinterest recipes and the meal on the leaning are n’t all we ever eat , but it ’s a leaning of thing we have fairly often .
If I make a new formula that we love and will credibly eat a circle , I add it to the Common Meals List . I have this list printed off and in the kitchen so I can refer to it for thought of meals to make for the workweek to come . Here ’s what my leaning looks like :
I ’ve scram mine divided up into a few class . I do it this way because if I have volaille in the Deepfreeze , I can easily see what recipes I might make .
It ’s nothing fancy . It ’s really just to give me theme of what to make and a reminder to check that I have enough breakfast and tiffin food for the hebdomad .
Keep in brain that I ’m just calculate to reckon out the “ chief course ” . I always pick up fruits and veg and other affair to have as side dishes that I might not write down .
This is the most time consuming part of repast planning , and you just do it once and then update it every once in a while .
2. Make your grocery list and meals listat the same time.

By using what we already have on hand , we only take to purchase two ingredients to make this meal . I go through this basic process to peck out what meals we desire to make : see what ’s on sales agreement and check what ingredient we already have .
The last thing that I do is post my meal list on the fridge so that I can see all of the meals that we have ingredient for . This also makes me think twice about get take - out since Iknowwe have food to eat at home .
