Creating a Simple Home Organization Station & Binder [With Pictures]

Today I wanted to share mysimplehome brass station and binder .

Emphasis on the simple . I recognise a lot of citizenry out there have impressive family binders with cunning printables and such . My little home organization station and binder are n’t all that cute or telling . But it ’s simple and useable and you could lather up something similar for your home very quickly .

Having all of this information in one place helps us stay unionized and saves time and energy !

I have a desk in our office up the stairs , but some things just do n’t make it that far . I seek to work with my innate inclination to count at things in the kitchen , and just put a footling organizational spot there ( see picture below ) .

Here’s what’s included in my home organization station and binder:

Day Planner

Every twelvemonth I buy a cheapday plannerto keep track of designation , natal day , and other important clobber . I keep this calendar in the kitchen where it ’s easy to crack and compose down new things .

Every class when I get my newfangled day contriver , I transfer over nascency dates as well as important phone numbers ( like for our doctor ) .

Supplies

Most of my office supply are at my desk up the stairs , but I keep a few things in the kitchen .

The Binder:

I have a 1 - inch reaper binder that keeps all of the papers that I tend to cite often . Everything else is filed forth upstairs in the role .

I usebinder dividers with pocketsto keep thing separate . The pocket are super handy for my budget worksheet and other things that I do n’t require to put in a   page guardian or use a 3 golf hole punch on .

Here ’s what I keep in my domicile organization binder :

Our entire monthly budget / disbursement tracker is on one piece of paper .

I keep it in the very front of the reaper binder so that I am more potential to indite down when we expend money . It makes it so gentle to see where we ’re at with our monetary resource throughout the calendar month .

Also , Austin and I both have soft access to it .

The Simple Way We Track Our outlay

When Austin was working a eldritch piece of work schedule , I kept his agenda in the binder so that I could see far in feeler if he was work when I needed to make appointments .

I have a bounteous   list of the meal we make most often so that I can have some stirring when I ’m repast planning and produce our food market list .

I keep the list in a page protector in the binder for easy reference .

Sometimes there are receipt that I desire to save for a calendar month or so just in case I might need   to return something .

I make the receipt in one of the pockets of the binder dividers so I fuck just where to detect them .

I usually terminate up paying our bill at the kitchen table on my lappy , so I write “ give ” on each bill and fuddle it in a pocket to be filed upstairs later .

Every few month I go up and file everything all at once . In the meantime , I know those handbill are paid and I can find them if I need them .

I write down my goals for the year and place them inside the front cover of the binder . This way I ’ll see them often .

I ’ve got other matter to remember inside Sir Frederick Handley Page shielder   and the   pockets in my binder .

thing like return address labels , city recycling and brush pickup arm guidelines and schedule , new recipes I want to try , passwords … All of the significant things that are easy to lose are all in one maculation .

For me , it ’s deserving it to take up a modest recession of my kitchen with a dim-witted home organization station with the information I require to reference most .
