My biggest need for bide in dominance of our money and keeping a tight budget is so that we do n’t accentuate about money .

Get a Month Ahead on Your Budget
One of the braggart reasons to get a calendar month ahead on your budget is so that you have all of the money you need for bills and expenses on the first of the month .
When we get our bills throughout the month , I can devote them right away . I do n’t demand to wait for the next payroll check to amount because I already have all of the money I need for the month . This takes a lot of focus and worry off of my shoulders .

The Logistics
So here ’s how it works for us : Throughout the calendar month of September , every payroll check we get will get deposited into our savings account so that it ’s out of the room . Most of it is done automatically , but if we get a physical bridle for something , that ’s where I ’ll bank the money .
About two days before the final stage of the calendar month , I ’ll make our budget spreadsheet for October ( condition out my budget spreadsheet andhow I track our spending here ) . I ’ll be able to see precisely how much money we made in September and I ’ll decide where all of the money should go .
I ’ll change most of it into our checking account so that I ’ve got all of my money ready that I need for our budget for October . If we made any surplus money ( above what we need for our basic budget ) , we ’ll adjudicate what to do with that money and transfer it into separate savings accounts , retirement history , or agree on how we need to drop it .
It may take a few calendar month to get your saving up high enough to do this . If you do n’t have any extra nest egg , you ’ll take to set forth by saving every bit you’re able to each month in a saving account until you have enough money for the whole month saved up . It took us a while to get to this point , but has been totally deserving it .
If you already have some money in nest egg , you could start doing this on the first of the calendar month . Just transfer what you need for the calendar month into your checking account and the put all of the money you make during the month into your saving to be used next month .
Emergency Preparedness
One of the great thing about being a month forwards on your budget is that you technically have a build - in one month emergency fund .
If you were to lose your chore , you at least have enough money for the next month . If you do n’t have any form of savings at all , this is a great kickoff !
We keep an emergency investment company of at least six calendar month ’s worth of expenses at a disjoined bank that we attempt to never impact . I basically just ignore that the money even exists . 🙂
Mentally , I do n’t deliberate being a calendar month ahead on our budget as part of our emergency brake fund . It ’s just how our budget works . But if it came down to it , we ’d have an excess month of money .
