There ’s one kitchen gizmo that gets used more than any other at our house . And no Lie , it saves me hundreds of dollars per year . Plus , it ’s just the most handy appliance we ’ve ever owned .
I utilise it to serve make soups , to save money on collation , and to make exceptional sweet treats .
So what ’s this awesome appliance ? It ’s myNinja “ Master Prep ” Blender . Before you ask : No , this is not a patronise post . Ninja has no idea I ’m writing this post . I just adore this thing and think everyone should own one because it does so much for me . We incur a classic blender / food processor for our wedding party and it was tremendous . It blended the bottom inch of the container and did nothing to the rest . Every liquidiser I see promises that it will rotate what is within so that it all gets blend , but I ’ve never seen one that really does . Plus the liquidiser from our wedding fall in after a few uses . Not slap-up . The reason I bonk my Ninja is because the sword goes all the way through the container , so everything really does get meld . There are a mickle of piece , but I like that it all comes apart and can all go in the dishwasher . Just be careful of those blade because they are crazy sharp .
One affair I do n’t love is that the blender palpebra has some crevices that are tough to clean . What forge best for us is to wash all of the parts now after we practice it , and then it comes clean really well in the dish washer .
I screw people swan by theBlendtec blenders , and I ’ve never used one so I do n’t screw , but holy crap , they ’re expensive . The Ninja work great for me for amuchlower terms .
Ok, so how do I save so much money with this thing?
We use ourNinja “ Master Prep ” Blenderto make frugal snack and dainty at home .
Going out for ice cream and buy hummus at the storage are both super expensive and those are two of the handsome style we save money .

Flavored Ice Cream
The big congius - sized tubs of ice cream at the store are always the best deal , but we always get queasy of the flavor we pluck before we can eat it all . Then the tub of crank cream sits in our freezer for weeks or months and get freezer burnt like crazy .
We have started buying gal containers of plain vanilla extract water ice cream though , which we turn into gourmet water ice cream at home .
We scoop the vanilla ice-skating rink cream into the Ninja , along with a bit of milk and whatever “ flavourer ” we want and it essentially intermix into gourmet diffuse serve .
It works better to blend the milk and season first , then add the ice cream and blend some more .
Here are the mix - ins we ’ve try ( plus some pro gratuity from Austin , who is my ice ointment maker 🙂 ):
We have had so much merriment trying raw flavors . It ’s a delightful at - home treat . For how much we eat methamphetamine hydrochloride cream ( and how much we used to go out for ice emollient ) , the Ninja saves us a fortune of money .
Snacks
I ’ve shared with you myrecipe for Blender Salsa , which I have been all addict to for a few geezerhood now . It ’s so soft and tastes so fresh .
Every time I make it for a crowd , I get asked for the recipe . It only takes me about 5 minutes to blend up .
I make hummus at rest home too . I am shocked at how much the fund charge for a tiny container of humus when it is so inexpensive to make yourself . And easy too .
Here ’s the link to the al-Qaeda recipe that I use : Hummus Recipe
you may tweak it and add different toppings to customize it for yourself . I like ours with just a little European olive tree crude and fume pimento on top .
The recipe I use calls for tahini , which is sesame seed spread . It can be a picayune hard to find at the entrepot . It ’s either by the peanut butter or in a Mediterranean foods section . Some multitude substitute peanut butter or leave it out . I ’ve never test either , so allow me know if that ’s how you do it . I ’m curious .
fundamentally , all you do is blend everything together . Once you make it yourself , you ’re going to inquire why you ’ve been pay so much for it .
Soup
This last one is more of a time saver than money saver , but ‘ metre is money ’ right ?
We feed a ton of soup throughout the long , long , long cold seasons here . If you just press the clitoris on the Ninja real straightaway a couple of times , it chop veggies up nice and slight to throw in a soup .
I still utilise a knife to chop Solanum tuberosum or veggies I require in bigger chunk , but the Ninja works well if you want smaller art object .
