We spent 10s of thousands of dollars buy a house and the smash just keep on come .
The preceding few calendar month have felt like our banking company account is “ bleeding money ” .
Since this is n’t our first house , I ’m not completely surprised , but it ’s hard to manage the cash we have with all of the projects that involve to happen ( or that we need to happen ) .
Since we are n’t uncoerced to go into debt on star sign projects , it takes thoughtfulness and ego - control to prioritize what needs to get done .

Set Priorities

Once it ’s all out of your head and write down , you ’ll be able to figure out what ’s most important and what order will make the most sentiency .
Assess the Money You Have Available
Now that you could see all that you ’d care to do , take a look at your monetary resource .
Do you have a chunk of money to lick with right aside or will you be setting aside a certain amount each month ? Based on your idea mapping , you may decide that you need to salve a larger amount each calendar month than you had previously planned .
When we grease one’s palms our firm , we were plan on using a chunk of money to do some necessary projects . Now that those thing are done , we ’re saving a little each month towards the next project .
#1 – Safety & Structural Concerns

After your home is good and structurally reasoned , your priorities can shift towards whatever will make the biggest departure in your day to Clarence Day life .
Painting the walls can quickly change how a room feels and will make a big difference . If your kitchen is a disaster , it might be worth it to carry through up for some major improvements .
We made a few big purchases after making sure we could take guardianship of priority # 1 job . We corrupt a washer and drier and a lounge because we did n’t have those things . Being able to do washables and have a comfortable place to sit at home makes a Brobdingnagian difference in our day to day lives .
#3 – Preference & Money
The final stage is to select project based on your personal preference and as you have the money .
We ’d like to redo the backsplash in our kitchen at some point . It ’s not a top anteriority , but we ’ll get to it eventually . We ’d also wish to call on the half bath in our cellar into a full bath that ’s a little less “ rustic ” so that Guest can prosperous stay down there .
When you do n’t have much to expend , it ’s important to prioritize your house project so that you get the most bang for your buck .
If you start by writing down every potential project , you ’ll be able to see what is a safety or structural fear . From there you could decide what will make the great difference for you as you have the cash to do so .
get a house that you have it away and feel comfortable in is important , but it ’s not deserving going into debt for . If you prioritise your labor , you ’ll get it all done without cast stress on your financial situation .
