I ca n’t fend clutter . It makes my brain find straight off overwhelmed . This extends to the walls in our house . While I opine the “ art gallery wall ” full of artwork on Pinterest can be beautiful , it ’s just too much for me . I ’ve encounter that our household feel secure with a few , meaningful slice on the walls that make the position feel homey . So today I ’m partake ways to dress just and meaningfully . Obviously home decor is completely personal , so if my fashion is n’t your style , that ’s totally fine ! This is just what works for us and what we love .
More things hung on the wall can make a distance find crowded or busy . Let ’s face it , it ’s hard to keep a planetary house clean and picked up . Having more decorations lends to rooms feel more disorderly . I opt our home to be as calm and passive as potential . Sometimes it ’s not potential , but simple , some might say minimalist , interior decoration can help .
Well , if you ’re going to decorate just and have less on your walls , you want those few pieces to think of something to you or be something you really love . I do n’t desire our house to feel like a show house with stock art and nothing personal . That ’s why we attempt to select meaningful thing to expose .
Ways to Decorate Simply & Meaningfully
It ’s hardest to rein in the family photograph because of class you want to have photos of your love unity on the bulwark ! I ’ve tried to contain family picture to a few small area and just use a few frames . Then I can alternate out the pic whenever .
I have a belittled pitch-black frame aggregation in the dinning room by the piano . I narrowed down picture by using one frame for a pic of my family and one for the fellas family . This means all family member are act on the rampart . The quietus are just some of my favorite . Do n’t mind my piano triceratops . Does n’t everyone have one of those ? We also have one large frame on the other side of the windowpane with a wedding picture . It only take mefour yearsto get around to printing and frame up one of our wedding photos !
Our bedchamber has a frame with one of our wedding photos and then a photo underneath of our five year day of remembrance . It finger kind of romantic for our sleeping accommodation .
By confine the amount of frame you practice , you do n’t clutter up the walls and you force yourself to be a second more fussy about your favorite images to exhibit .
I created some meaningful nontextual matter for our kitchen . I took some of my favored family recipes ( including my Grandma ’s awesome pumpkin moolah recipe ) and made them into art by just using a colorful background signal and interesting fonts . It ’s elementary and meaningful for me .
My gent buy be an awesome poster a few geezerhood ago . The image just looks bare from far away , but when you get up close , you could see that it is in reality made up of the accomplished al-Qur’an of Pride & Prejudice , one of my favorites ! It ’s so cool and always get a second coup d’oeil from visitors . It ’s from a company calledLitographs .
I ’ve figured out that I prefer one large statement piece or else of many smaller pieces grouped together , which just look cluttered to me .
We went on a sail a few years ago and fall in love with this Mediterranean picture . They had an artistic creation auction bridge on card and we bought it , which was a fun experience ! We adore this picture so much that it ’s commonly referred to as “ The Painting ” in our household . And it ’s difficult to tell , but it ’s massive . This is the only wall in the house that can meet it . It ’s an awing command piece that has such playfulness memories with it too .
Another simple statement piece is the mirror above our “ entryway ” locker . Our house is lack an entry , but this is the wall you see when you come in the back door . It ’s a commodious place to have a mirror , and this mirror is big , gold , and pizzazz - y , which I love .
That ’s pretty much all that we have hanging on the rampart in our house . All of our keep sphere have something special to await at without them feel littered or consuming . By only having a few things up , we ’ve made certain to opt things that are special to us and that we really hump . Plus , I think our planetary house has a calm and peaceful feeling because we ’ve choose fewer , larger items alternatively of many , smaller ones .
grace a house is such a personal matter , and while some of the decorate trends out there are quite beautiful , they just would n’t feel good to me . I ’m well-chosen with the way we ’ve decorate our home over the days . Simple & Meaningful is decidedly my dress mantra .
